Meredith... the ONLY reason those windows got trimmed out so fast is that a good rain will totally screw up the install w/o the trim. Trust me, nothing, but nothing gets done quickly around here.

ESPatch - oh, i know and LOVE your blog. You just went to Scotland!! I'm an Irish girl by blood and love Scotland too. Have you heard of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? Ohhh - new windows.... We only need to replace every one of ours but can't afford it currently. I will simply drool over yours and dream for the time being. Just the ticket and the framing makes them extra special. Second the thumbs up for the new header btw. Totally fun for October.

Love, love, love those windows. I need to get my husband to read your blog so he'll get a little competitive (in a good way) and get on the carpentry kick. That way he'd be motivated to make faster progress on our house and yard! He enjoys carpentry work, but sometimes he needs a kick in the pants to get started. I'm still waiting for my three raised veggie beds, for example. And they're quick to make!

I think you have done a fabulous job on your home but I think this is just the bestest best of all.
I really do not like carpenter work but my husband does so we are off to work on a barn we have built on our new property. No money for a new house but maybe that will come soon.

Thank you, Pam. We both gave a little facelift action today, didn't we? I couldn't decide whether to keep the same picture always, or change it. I guess I'll just be trial and erroring for awhile. Of all the things we've done to the house, the windows were the creme de la creme. HUGE difference.
