My little bear rolled out of bed at 6am in full vomit mode.
Sad, sad is the vomiting child.
Did I mention that I've got a kitten in heat who must be sequestered inside until the
vet appointment at 2 today. (I thought she was too young! I've been
saying "next week" for weeks.)
Did I mention that Jackdaddy is out of town?
Did I mention that a cuppa and a candle can soothe even the most frazzled nerves?
See that little thing up in the left corner that says Garbo?
That's a gift certificate for a head massage.
Oh my lord, do I need a head massage.
Soon, but not today.
The upside of this is that the boy and the cat went back to sleep and I'm going to watch Downton again!!!
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Oh no, sounds like a bit if a rough day! Hope everyone is healthy soon and at least you get some relaxation.

It ended up being an easy, cozy day.
Deletewhew.
I am so sorry Finn is sick. It is hard on Mothers, too. Mentally because you are worried and physically because there is lots of extra loving and caring going on.Ginger ale and popsicles are good things to give for this type of illness.
ReplyDeleteI hope things get better as the day goes on. I will say a prayer right now for you both. And the kitty.

Meow.
DeleteWe all survived with grape juice, popcorn, books and movies.
Love you!
Put that kitty on your chest. She will soothe. I'm so sorry. Be well soon.

Poor kitty did great at the vet and is now spayed.
DeleteFinn was sad there would be no kitties.
I was sad and relieved!
I just watched episode one of the first season of Downton last night.
ReplyDeleteI am now officially hooked.
THAT SHOW IS AWESOME!
CRACK. Welcome to your new crack. Now you have something new to daydream about while listening to your clients, uh, I mean husband, uh, I mean, oh nevermind.
DeleteHope Finn is feeling right as rain tomorrow. Did the cat get to come home today? I think I'm going to watch Downton again tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteKitty had to spend the night, but she'll be home today.
DeleteHope the boy is well today too! xoxox
Oh, isn't it great that there's Downton on a day like today? So sorry your Finn is sick. Though there's something sort of sweetly wonderful about sick days, too. If we can surrender to them. (Always easier said in retrospect than done in the moment.) Sending good, healing thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteYES!!! After my stressful early morning, I sat here with my tea and a kitten on my lap and watched almost TWO hours of it. Heaven. Then the wild boy was so listless that we had a quiet, easy day.
DeleteThe mom gods were smiling on me.

Short time lurker, first time commenter. Just wanted to say I've been enjoying your site! Sorry your son is sick. Don't tell about Downton. It's still on the DVR unwatched, for me.
ReplyDeleteOoo, I LIKE your "name."
ReplyDeleteMy lips are sealed on DA. Hope you got to watch it, it was such a good one.
Thank you for the sympathy...I hope he'll be brand new today!
