Rock n Roll TG

I made it to my mama's house all safe and sound.

FIVE hours in the car ALONE.

You parents know what I'm saying

Five hours.

My little bear was too sick to travel so he stayed home with Jackdaddy and that side of the family.

But this is my mama's first holiday without her husband so my brother and I are gonna be with her.

It's not a burden at all as we both lovvvve our mama to pieces as well as each other. We're gonna have a good old time with lots of naps and some card playin'. Maybe a wild night of dominoes.

Back to my long car drive ... Did I mention that I was alone for 5 hours?

I got caught up on some serious rockin' out.

The new Mumford and Sons, Babel, as well as the old, Sigh No More. (Blank White Page still wrecks me.)

Frightened Rabbit - Midnight Organ Fight.
Bow down to the goddess of R&R, my friend Mo, who turned me on to this band. If you like Mumford or The Decemberists or, uh, i dunno, just try them. That's one of my fave CDs of all time now.

The Decemberists - The King is Dead

Some TV on the Radio.
Some live New Order.

Then, BAM, I was there.

Wait, not WEED.

Hahaha autocorrect for stoners.

Anyway, that's my story.

I hope your holiday is filled with whatever matters to you most and I hope you're celebrating what feels good to you.

Rock on, friends.

  1. Awww! I'm so glad you're with your mama! Yea, I know all about the bliss that is long drives ALONE! Woo to the Hoo!!! Hope it's a sweet day - hope Finn is feeling better soon! Thanks for the music recs!

  3. To know the true meaning of Thanksgiving for me is to spend time with my wonderful daughter and son. I am blessed this year to have this gift.
I wish everyone the same happiness I have had this Thanksgiving.

  5. 5 hours is a righteous block of time, for sure. I got the ultimate gift of a whole saturday to putter around the house when the GM took the Tot for the day.

I almost had a seizure I was so excited.

So I built a rabbit hutch.

We love our children. We miss them when they're not with us.

Then we FULLY enjoy our time alone...

I'm So glad you got to be with your mama for the special...

  6. How did I miss this micky ficky shout out!???!! Sigh...FIVE HOURS.........
