Last Beach Day.

Heading back to Deep Springs today.

I always feel sad when leaving the beach.

Always always.

I think it's partly due to the end of complete relaxation (aside from parking our HUGE truck on the tiny beach streets), but also because I just feel soooo good when close to the ocean.

There is some ancient thing in me (my almost 50-year-old ass for one thing) that pulls me to the water.

I'm also soooo not a desert girl so, extracting myself from the Pacific Ocean and returning to Death Valley well, you know what I'm saying'.

Oh well, we've had a delicious (literally) time and I'm beyond grateful to be having such wonderful adventures.

Lucky me!

We're off to the La Brea Tar Pits this morning. Have you ever been there? SO radalicious!

I wish I could figure out how to mix up text and photos, but I'm just a lazy ass with all this phone blogging business.

Miss you!

  1. I'm from the LA area originally and it used to be the thing for a school field trip - LA museum and the La Brea tar pits. I dropped my shoe in the tar pit. I was excited and so were my classmates but alas no one else was. Needless to say I was in trouble. If you see a little pink shoe it's mine.

  2. looks like you covered all the basics, plants, tile work, and oh yeah...the fam!! Cool post:)

  3. Glad to hear everything is going well. I haven't been to a beach for decades. sigh.

All the action is here in the comments. You want some action, don't you?
