Happy #15

I'm so happy we saw this guy at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center!  What a thrill.  (Remind me sometime to tell you about the raccoon we had as a pet when I was a child.)

I'm so happy my boy was as thrilled as I.  Everything abandoned as he took off after the raccoon...stealth-like, of course.  The raccoon obliged by sticking around for quite sometime and giving us a show.
Hope you get a nature thrill today!

  1. I am proud to be a Texan. Ladybird started her "Beautify Texas" campaign when LBJ was in office. I see her hand in all the wild flowers along the road with "No Mow" signs. And she had the junkyards put up board fences to hide the broken cars.
Was the raccoon you saw named Critter by any chance?

  2. I do expect you to call next time you are in the hood ;) I reeeeeeeeeealy miss you guys. (((hugs)))

  3. Oh yeah, I've had some nature thrills lately. A snake ate my frog and Lyn got sprayed by a skunk. I don't mean she was in the mist a little bit, I mean she took a load.

I need no more nature thrills for a while.

  4. MerryMerry - I know..wasn't our Lady Bird the best!
Why,yes! His name was Critter! You must know this story already. hee hee.
Erica - oh shoot! Dang it. What was I thinking? I sure time.

Bob - I saw that damn snake picture. I didn't see that Lyn got sprayed!!! Oh well, she must be used to wild nature smells being married to you and all. HA HA HA. When are my damn Aricaunas gonna start laying, by the way?

All the action is here in the comments. You want some action, don't you?
