Where did you find this monster pirate? The only thing I can dream up is a huge pumpkin with a hideous face carved in it. Did the giant pumpkin eat you and all that was left was a pair of rubber boots? Merrymerry
Arrrrrrr - what a grin that guy has. Pan must have been sharing his pipe....
You know - my kids are all gone and grown now and I do miss the fun of providing technical support as they decorated the front porch and occasionally, the yard. Thanks for sharing the tricky treaty love.
Come hang out with us as we turn our mid-century cottage (and its poor, sad yard) into a magical Neverland. We are the quintessential DIYs - working paycheck to paycheck and weekend to weekend. We started the transformation in May of 2006 and started blogging in 2009. Our family lives and loves in Austin, TX. Y'all come on by!
What IS Wabi-Sabi, you ask?
Hard to explain, really. Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese term, obviously. It's been semi-mainstreamed by the American gardening and decorating industry. In a nutshell it means - an appreciation for that which is not perfect. Finding beauty in something old and rusty is wabi-sabi. Picking something up off the side of the road and using it in a new way is wabi-sabi. Making do with what you have is wabi-sabi. It's a lovely concept that describes me and my house and my yard perfectly: appreciated, loved and perfect in our own imperfect way.

BOO! I found it at my favorite store, Savers. HA, it does look like the pumpkin ate me!

Awww...I know I'll miss it too. I LOVE Halloween - my favorite holiday.
Oh yea, he and Pan do some late-night partying, I'm sure of it.
